Flyleaf, that name almost speaks for itself without any
introductions or commentary. I fell onto their Myspace site
during a talent hunt and they have been a favorite ever
since. Lacey's vocals are we give an NCC rating here at
RupturedEarDrums. It stands for Non Carbon Copy, which
we feel is the highest and only rating there is. Smooth,
fluidic vocals which can transition in to an almost
instantaneous state of possession in the blink of an eye. In
video, one can almost see the pain, agony, distraught
emotions of which the lyrics emote in the track.
Sameer, Jared, Pat and James do a magnificent job of
blending the instrumentation to Lacey's unique vocals.
A question of interest from myself is wondering how Pat
manages to still play a bass when he is flying through the
air like fricking Superman. This guy is like the Energizer
Bunny on pure methamphetamine. Every video I have
watched, this guy is either airborne or just coming in for a
landing on the stage.
I see nothing but a long and positive career by this group of
talented individuals in the music industry. They already
have a solid fan base which grows by the day.
Lacey will be one of the next entries in our Women Of Rock
section as she is not only a very talented and unique
vocalist but a personal favorite of the old fart that runs this
