BAND: Shadows Lie New York, USA
|

Rising from the New York City underground is Shadows Lie. SL has played legendary
venues such as Webster Hall, CBGBs, The Bitter End, The Cutting Room, Don Hills,
Crash Mansion, and Snitch. They are currently touring up and down the East Coast,
and can be found playing national music venues such as The Crocodile Rock Cafe in
PA, Northern Lights in NY, Maximum Capacity in MA, The Webster Theater in CT, The
Stone Pony in NJ and various other clubs, schools and venues throughout the East...
Their music is a unique mix of Days of the New-style acoustic guitars, Portishead-like
electronics and heavy-guitars reminiscent of Staind and Linkin Park built around a
powerful singer whose vocal style ranges from Alanis Morissette, to Incubus. Their
2007 debut LP entitled "Echoes" is written, recorded, produced and performed by Kira
and CT. The fusion of Kira's lyrics and vocal melodies and CT's guitar bass,
programming and production work form the basis of a fresh sound that uniquely melds
sonic strength with emotional truth and vulnerability.
Shadows Lie site among their diverse influences Incubus, Alice In Chains, Bjork the
Crystal Method and Sevendust. The often times aggressive yet hauntingly beautiful
music that results, invokes comparisons to fellow female fronted rock bands
Evanescence and Lacuna Coil.
Live and for music to come, they are joined by Marco Britti on drums and Frank
Grullon on guitars. "Echoes" is now available at: CDFREEDOM.COM/SHADOWSLIE.
Their debut LP entitled "Echoes" is written, recorded, and performed by singer Kira

One review of “Echoes” reads:
“Kira’s vocals range from intense aggression to hauntingly poignant... Her combination
of vocal stylings lands her in an enticingly familiar yet totally unique place that is
delivered with more truth than just about anyone around. Her lyrics and delivery are
deeply expressive, extremely sensual and brimming with the beautifully bittersweet
combination of love and loss.”-- MusicEffect.com
The often times aggressive yet hauntingly beautiful music that Shadows Lie creates
inspired multi-platinum Producer/Engineer, Bill Klatt (Days of the New, Bjork, Garbage)
to say about Shadows Lie: “This is one of the most talented and promising new rock
acts to come out of New York City in years. They are truly talented artists with a unique
sound that is all their own .”
"Simply beautiful and amazing. [Five Stars] I have heard only a few tracks (free ones
from MySpace), but what i have heard completely hit my ears with the greatest music
from an independent artist ever. The few minor flaws are quite easily outweighed by
the greatness of the group. In short, buy this album. Shadows Lie? On my top ten list."

Shadows Lie originates from NYC, they have progressed rapidly outward and gained a
great deal of recognition for their music and stage performances. SL has the potential
and the talent to go far within the music industry. Their unique style and music will gain
them much notice in both foreign and domestic markets. The strength of Shadows Lie
is in the binding of dynamic vocals, prolific lyrics and fluid instrumentals. All aspects
are then molded together to create a fluidic style which has resulted in a superior
debut album “Echoes”. To say that this album is very addictive would be an
understatement of epic proportions. Kira’s unique vocals can lull you with sweet
emotions or drop you to your knees with a brain hammering concussive wail. “Dead
End” is perhaps our favorite in both track and video. The latter mentioned video has all
of our most favored qualities, aneurysm invoking instrumentals, cardiac arrhythmia
inducing vocals and psychotic stage behavior. “Just our kind of artists here at the RED”
